Testimonials

What People
Say About Us

Before joining Sikia Foundation, I struggled to find a job because I am deaf. Many employers doubted my ability to work in customer service. But at Sikia Café, I was given a chance to prove myself. Now, I confidently serve customers, manage orders, and even train new staff. I am financially independent and proud of what I have achieved. Thank you, Sikia Foundation, for believing in me!"

Amina N., , Deaf Waitress at Sikia Café

"I was always passionate about working with my hands, but as a refugee, I had no access to training or job opportunities. Sikia Foundation changed my life by teaching me carpentry skills. Today, I craft furniture and earn a living to support my family. The training gave me hope, confidence, and a future I never imagined possible."

Peter K., Carpentry Program Graduate

I always loved acting and dancing, but as a deaf person, I had no platform to showcase my passion. When I joined Sikia Foundation’s Drama Club, I finally felt seen and heard. Performing through sign language has given me confidence and a voice in the community. We don’t just act—we tell stories that inspire change.

Joseph M, Sikia Drama Club Member

Dining at Sikia Café was an eye-opening and heartwarming experience. Seeing deaf waitresses confidently take orders and serve with professionalism showed me how capable and talented they are. This café is not just about great food—it’s about creating opportunities and breaking barriers. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to everyone

Sarah M, Customer Sikia Cafe

Sikia Café is more than just a place to eat—it’s a movement! The fact that they employ and empower deaf individuals makes every visit special. The staff is incredibly kind, and I love how they use sign language to communicate. It’s inspiring to see a business truly committed to inclusivity. Keep up the great work!
