Empowering Deaf Youth & Women with Hands-On Skills
The Sikia Carpentry Training & Workshop provides deaf youth and women with marketable carpentry skills to help them build a sustainable livelihood. Through hands-on training with experienced artisans, participants learn how to create furniture, home décor, and functional woodcraft products.

This project not only equips participants with skills but also provides access to essential tools, raw materials, and mentorship to ensure their success. The completed furniture and wood products are sold at Sikia Craft Shop and through local markets, helping deaf artisans earn a steady income.

➡ Project Impact:
1.Training over 50 deaf youth & women per year in carpentry
2.Providing job placements and business start-up kits
3.Encouraging self-sufficiency through craftsmanship
